A well-known pygmy hippo called Mars was left stunned by his own reflection after seeing himself in the mirror for the first time.
The chunky creature, who has become a viral sensation, has over 42,000 followers.
Mars resides at Tanganyika Wildlife Park, where he is pampered and plays with the staff.

In the recent clip, they present him with a mirror and the mammal soon realises why is he is “the main character”.
Mars admires his ample form and appears to smile as he sniffs his own reflection with his snout.
The clip has thousands of likes with viewers complimenting him for being the “cutest baked potato”.
One person said: “Sooo cute !!! He’s smiling at himself”
Someone else added: “He loves himself…we as humans should learn from him.”

Mars was born in June this year and quickly went viral after videos were shared of him refusing to leave his pool.
Like his dad, Pluto, he was named after a planet – not the chocolate bar.
During his regular weigh-in three weeks ago, the plump pygmy hippo was found to weigh 65lbs (29kg).
