Meet Yoda the dog – a poor pup searching for a home this Christmas, who happens to be a dead-ringer for the Star Wars character.
The five-year-old earned her name because of her unmistakably large, pointed ears and tiny whiskers – which give her a striking resemblance to the Jedi master.
She’s spent much of her life on the streets, with her last “home” being a park beside a bakery where she survived on leftover pastries.

At one point, Yoda, who’s breed is unclear, weighed 37kg, more than double her ideal weight of 15–18kg.
Currently in care as she awaits a forever-home, Yoda now weighs 26kg, and steadily returning to health.
But life on the streets in Romania has left her afraid of other dogs, and she is currently in a crowded facility with over 30 fellow pooches.
Staff there say she spends her days hiding, as reported by What’s The Jam.

But beneath that nervousness is a gentle, affectionate soul.

Yoda loves cuddles, rarely barks, and has a calm, steady temperament.
Spayed, vaccinated, and healthy, Yoda now needs a quiet, patient home where she can finally feel safe, and where her unique charm can shine.
Yoda is available to be adopted from the UK-based MISI’s Animal Rescue.
