A traveller has shared footage of liquid suddenly leaking from an overhead locker mid-flight – leaving passengers stunned.
Content creator, Adeline, was flying home when droplets began falling from a compartment above the seats.
The 40-year-old shared shocking footage of cabin crew attempting to patch up the leak with tape, cloth and “whatever they could find” in a desperate mid-air fix.

The footage has now been viewed more than 300,000 times across social media.
The first splashes hit a passenger below and startled those around them.
Others soon began wiping the locker dry – but the drips kept coming.
Crew checked the overhead bins for spills or loose items but found nothing.
With the plane moments from pushback, staff were forced to improvise, which worked.

But once the jet climbed into the sky, the leak returned.
“I think the crew did their very best and handled the situation professionally, even though it was quite amusing to watch them fumble with masking tape, paper and cloth in an attempt to fix the leak,” Adeline told What’s The Jam.
“They checked on us several times to make sure we had enough tissues or a fresh blanket and offered to serve our meals first.”

Adeline was also given a $75 voucher by the airline following the issue, which occurred on a flight from Korea to Singapore on Singapore Airlines.
She says the bizarre scene looked like a “mini surgery in the sky”.
But she didn’t request a new seat because the flight was full.
The dripping eventually stopped.
Singapore Airlines has since confirmed that the cause of the incident was actually a passenger’s leaking water bottle, stored in the overhead locker.
A spokesperson told Singaporean broadcasting company 8World: “Our cabin crew promptly cleaned and dried the affected compartment, and used towels and tape to contain the dripping.
“They also provided assistance to the affected customers.
“SIA sincerely apologises to the affected customers for the inconvenience caused.”
One person joked: “They should give an upgrade to biz class heehee.”

Someone else added: “Whoever sat underneath there, please get refund.”
Others were more understanding, saying: “I think they handled it well.”

The incident happened on 9 November.
