A woman is warning others to check their fast food after she bit into a takeaway hash brown and claimed it was black inside.
When Tori Dent and her friend travelled home after a successful road trip, the pair decided to stop off and fuel their stomachs at the iconic Golden Arches.
The 29-year-old opted for a typical breakfast meal at McDonald’s, complete with a hash brown, and was excited to tuck in before setting off.
But as she took a bite, the pensioner, who has a background in registered nursing, was left horrified as she claimed the entire inside was completely black.

In a post shared on Facebook, which has received hundreds of likes, she shows the breakfast item in question, along with a warning for others.
“I took a bite from my hash brown and immediately saw it was black throughout,” Tori claims, speaking to What’s The Jam..
“I didn’t chew and I looked over at my friend to see if it was maybe an edition I wasn’t aware of.
“I quickly learned it was just mine and I spat it out.

“I didn’t experience any flavour from my bite because I never chewed the piece I had bitten off.
“I also did not return it to McDonald’s, because we were on the highway already and had a long drive ahead.
“We agreed it was lucky I got the bad hash brown as she was the driver and was paying attention to the road.

“My friend offered me half of her hash brown but I was put off after my encounter and decided against it.”
The golden potato treat was subsequently binned at their next stop, but Tori managed to snap a photo of the “mushy” item.
Tori, from Brisbane, Australia, chose not to contact McDonald’s regarding the issue but later took to Facebook to share her experience.
“Not what you want to see when you take your first bite,” the caption read.
Users have rushed to the comments to share their reactions, with many people left horrified.
Summer said: “Who s**t in the hash brown.”
Alonzo added: “I thought this was a deep fried Oreo.”
Oscar commented: “You would prefer to see it in your first bite than your last.”
“I thought that was Nutella inside,” said Eden. IS IT OK TO NAME ANOTHER FOOD BRAND?
“The heck is that!!??” wrote Ngaire.
“WTF is that monstrosity?” added Anne.
“Oooo hell no,” said Kareem.
Jam Press contacted Mcdonald’s for a comment, with a representative saying: “McDonald’s takes food and drink safety very seriously.
“We follow strict processes and procedures to ensure the quality of our food.
“We are investigating this and encourage the customer to contact our Customer Service team so we can look into it in more detail.”
