A Vinted seller has been caught up in a two-week long argument over a buyer’s “low-ball” offer on a Ralph Lauren top.
It all started with a £10.50 bid.
The seller, who rejected the offer, was then met with the buyer’s hostile response weeks later as the item hadn’t sold.

Their message said: “Items still up there,” to which the seller replied: “And? I’ve been on holiday and it has 88 favourites with offers of over 20 so why would I give an £18 discount, be reasonable.”
It left a sour taste in the interested buyer’s mouth and they replied with a sarcastic: “Good for you”.

The conversation took a turn, with the seller jokingly asking them to pay £100 for the originally listed £28 garment.
Then, the argument went full-blown, reports What’s The Jam.
The buyer said: “Have fun selling a fake top for £100.”

And the seller replied: “Can assure you it is not fake considering it has a verification code and the £100 was obviously a joke just like your insane low ball or was that serious.”
“Took you 22 minutes to come up with a joke of a response, how is £100 an obvious joke, not including buyers protection,” replied the buyer.

The seller pelted back: “Or maybe I have a life and don’t respond within 1 minute and it’s listed for £28? Buyer protection is from Vinted not me. If you’re going to respond at least be factually correct.”

The buyer accused the seller of being “slow” and called them “embarrassing”.
After another series of exchanges, with the seller telling them to get to TK Maxx instead, other insults such as being told to “get a job” were thrown.
It appears that what started off as a laugh quickly turned into the heated exchange, of which neither expected to happen.
The seller had the final word, though: “Holy yap alert! I thought you wanted to be left alone too yet there’s a whole lot of yabber there.

“Didn’t expect you to accept my offer I was taking the p*ss like I’ve said multiple times, I think you’re the one who may be slow.
“It’s okay though you’ll get there eventually! And do you know what is really sad, the fact you made the offer, I denied it, then two weeks later you went on my page to check it is still there to make a remark.
“That is the saddest thing here, anyways get well soon and I hope you sell one of your £1 tops.”
The baffling ordeal was shared to social media, with the caption: “I’m genuinely losing the will to live.”
Users have flocked to the comments to share their reactions.
