Two wonders of nature have been caught on camera at the same time.

Thomas Winstone snapped a stunning blue glow in the sea beneath the beautiful Milky Way.

The eerie light was being emitted by plankton that had been churned up by the waves.

“And seeing them in Cornwall was quite special.

“Almost too good to be true.”

Bioluminescent plankton are tiny sea creatures floating in the sea that have the ability to emit light when disturbed by a predator or motion.
