You’re Beautiful singer James Blunt left fans shocked after he leaped off the stage mid-performance to crowd surf at an Ed Sheeran gig.
The singer-songwriter was spotted clambering over the barriers and propelling himself towards revellers.
The 51-year-old then made his way back to the stage to continue his show.

Blunt was the support act for Ed Sheeran’s homecoming concert, where he made the final gig of the three-night run one to remember.
The show took place at Ipswich Town’s ground, Portman Road.

Ed Sheeran fan Tara Gottmann could not believe her eyes when she saw the singer approaching the crowd.
The 34-year-old said her friend Sören didn’t know what was going to happen after Blunt shouted “hold my hand” at him.
The bizarre crowd surfing moment, which was captured by the freelance photographer, came 45 minutes into his support act.

Later in the show, the 51-year-old returned to the stage to sing Goodbye My Lover with Sheeran on Sunday (13 Jul).
“Everyone was confused and we didn’t know what was about to happen,” Tara from Kiel, Germany, told What’s The Jam.

“My friend Sören, the man with the dark hair and glasses, didn’t know what was going on when James came to him saying ‘hold my hand’.”

“James was the opening act and performed for 45 minutes.
“At some point, he just jumped off the stage and started crowd surfing.
“Afterwards, he went back on stage and just continued his performance.
“He also performed Goodbye My Lover later that night together with Ed Sheeran.”
