A Brit living abroad has been left baffled after she found herself sharing a subway ride with parrots and a 15ft snake.
Taylor Brogan Burke was among a carriage full of confused looking passengers when the surprise commuters made their appearance.
In footage the 31-year-old captured and shared online, five or six parrots could be seen perched on top of a trolley in front of her.

And suddenly, the guy who owned the trolley revealed another unexpected traveller.
“Eeryone was quite enjoying looking at [the parrots] and all of a sudden this guy just stood up, opened up the trolley and pulled out this huge snake,” Taylor, who is from Liverpool in the UK but now lives in New York, US, told What’s The Jam.

“It must have been about 15ft – easy.
“Everyone was kind of in shock and disbelief that he’d just pulled it out.
“I nervously laughed.

“I could see in his trolley that he definitely had another snake in there and some sort of giant lizard too.”
In the video, filmed on Saturday (14 Jun), Taylor’s nervous laugh could be heard ringing out among her fellow passengers.
Travellers looked lost for words and a man could be seen picking up bits of the snake’s skin which had shed on the ground.

Taylor added: “I’ve been living in New York for a couple of years now and that is definitely one of the strangest things I’ve seen on the subway by far.”
Her video attracted a staggering 1.2m views and provoked plenty of reaction.
Tom said: “When I get on the train and see that habitat – I move to the next car.”
Camille said: “Poor snake. They like being quiet and calm when shedding.”

“This ain’t a subway no more – it’s a live action Pokémon game,” added Alex.
Doreen said: “Those poor animals. I’m not crazy about snakes but this is so mean. I feel so bad for the parrots. Where does he get the money to buy them? They are very expensive.”
“This is traumatising for those poor animals,” added a fifth viewer.
