A doctor who graduated from Harvard University warns people who wear fake eyelashes that they could cause blindness.
Dr Saurabh Sethi, a gastroenterologist, shares his experience and knowledge with his 1.1 million Instagram followers (@doctor.sethi).
The 42-year-old previously revealed the three most toxic household items – and urged people to remove them “immediately”.

Now, he’s warning people who wear fake eyelashes to be careful, as they could lead to blindness, reports What’s The Jam.
In the clip, which has racked up 120,000 views and over a thousand likes, he explains where the issue lies.
“The adhesive glue often contains formaldehyde, which can cause allergic reactions, thinning and permanent loss of natural eyelashes,” the doctor, from California, US, says.
“In rare cases, it can even lead to blindness.”
To minimise the risks, he urges people to avoid wearing fake eyelashes or consider using formaldehyde-free adhesives.
