A shark has been spotted in the water close to a popular beach resort.
Despite the creature staying below the surface of the water, it appeared very near to the coast line.
In a video, people can be seen sitting on the white sands of the beach a short distance away from the shark.

The camera pans down to clear, blue waters where a shadow is clearly visible underneath the surface.
A tail, belonging to a bull shark, can be seen gently swaying from side to side.
The video then shows both the shark swimming along, and the beach in the distance, highlighting how close the animal is to land.
It is not known when the video was taken.
The bull shark was spotted close to Chac Mool beach, which is off of the coast of Cancun, Mexico.

In the area of Cancun, there have been many other shark sightings.
According to specialists, their presence is completely normal, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Sharks have been spotted in Punta Cancun, Punta Nizuc, and Playa del Carmen, as well as Tulum and Akumal.

The National Commission of Protected Natural Areas said that the species look for warm waters.
