A one-bedroom flat listed for £55,000 has been widely mocked after photos of the property revealed the current tenant sound asleep in bed.
The cozy unit includes a bedroom, kitchenette, and bathroom, but the kitchen area is far from tidy.
The space is littered with clutter, with a cloth on the floor, a pan on the stove, and a pile of dishes on the counter.

However, the most attention-grabbing image is one showing the tenant fast asleep in a single bed, even as the listing notes there is a “tenant currently situated.”
Humorously, the tenant is absent in the following three photos of the room.
Located on Borough Road in Sunderland, the flat is being sold by Let Property and listed on Rightmove, as reported by Luxury Property News.
Prospective buyers and browsers were quick to make light of the unorthodox photo.
Amy Alby, scrolling through Rightmove, shared, “They’ve actually added photos of a property with someone still asleep in bed.”

Carla added, “Reminds me of viewing my second-year uni house, opening a bedroom door, and finding two people asleep.”
Andy Knox joked, “Guess the tenant couldn’t be bothered to tidy up before the photographer arrived. Might be on the market for a while.”
Another observer quipped, “Gives it that lived-in look.”

The listing describes the flat as an “investment opportunity,” noting its “close proximity to valuable amenities,” potential for “rewarding rental returns,” and a tenant who “has no intention of moving.”
Currently, it generates an annual rental income of £6,000.
The listing also mentions, “The current tenants have lived here for several years, consistently paying rent and hoping to remain in the property.”
Let Property has been contacted for comment.
