A dopey woman watered her “precious” plant for four years before realising it was made of plastic.
The fauna lover, known as Mamitapr on TikTok, shared the hilarious confession with her followers after tending to the shrub every single day.
She only realised it wasn’t alive when she noticed it never changed in size or colour.

In a video, she says: “I’ve been doing this for four years, four years without fail, every day, watering this little plant.
“I tell it, ‘be pretty, you are beautiful and precious’.
“’You never get dry and you don’t lose your leaves, you are very good’.
“I only realised today that this plant was made of plastic.”
The clip went viral, attracting 7million views and over 15,000 comments, as reported by What’s the Jam.

Mamitapr, who comes from Puerto Rico, added: “It’s not that I’m stupid, because I’m not.”
One follower commented: “Same thing happened to me with a cactus.
“I spent a year taking care of it and was very happy, it was the only thing that never died on me, and then I discovered it was plastic.”
