A group of dogs have recreated looks from the star-studded Met Gala – which are now on display at an exhibition.

Anthony Rubio, a doggy clothing designer, sent 18 pups to strut their stuff at New York’s American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog.

And each furry attendee’s outfit was inspired by their celebrity favourites.

“I have always been obsessed with fashion ever since I could remember,” Anthony said.

“So when I first learned of the Met Gala events way back when, I never missed the opportunity to sit in front of the television to witness the parade of celebrities.

“[They are] chosen by top designers to grace the red carpet, modelling the creations to fit, or not, the themes of the particular gala.

“I challenged myself to recreate the favourites of what I witnessed on that red carpet.

“Only for that it would be for dogs, using my chihuahuas Bogie and Kimbas as my muses.

“I actually did it to entertain myself, but a photographer friend asked to immortalise those designs.

“We put them out [on] social media and before we knew it, publications, bloggers and influencers took notice.”
