A defendant stunned a judge when she cracked open a beer during her trial.
A recording of the virtual hearing shows how Rebeca (corr) Barbosa Oliveira opened a cold one.
She then began glugging it down as a witness gave evidence.
Her actions provoked the ire of the case judge, Alan Ide Ribeiro da Silva, who expelled her from the hearing on Monday (6 May).

Before kicking her out of the virtual court, he interjected: “I see that the defendant has just opened a beer. It’s recorded here.
“Your Honours, I’m not going to interrogate someone who’s drinking during a serious proceeding.”
The court in Augustinópolis, Brazil, has now found Oliveira guilty of threatening her ex’s new partner, as reported on What’s The Jam.
The court heard how she had racially abused her, threatened to shoot her, and once even pulled a pocket knife on her in São Sebastião do Tocantins.
The victim believes she was targeted because Oliveira was jealous and bitter about the end of her own relationship with the victim’s new partner.
The threats she received from her were so traumatising that she became afraid to even go outside.
Oliveira was sentenced to three months and two days behind bars after being found guilty of threatening behaviour.
She may appeal the decision in conditional freedom.
She was also slapped with a fine for her actions during the virtual hearing.
