A biker has been spotted using a hollowed-out watermelon as a helmet.
He was spotted with a pillion passenger whizzing along a motorway.
An onlooker in a passing car said: “Holy c*ap, that guy’s got a watermelon on his head.
“Pass by, Felipe, so I can get closer, guys.

It happened on a highway in Duque de Caxias near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil yesterday (19 Mar).
The onlooker added: “Caxias isn’t for amateurs.
“If you don’t have a helmet, use a watermelon.”
As they overtake the bike on the other side, the rider momentarily turns his head towards the car with a grin on his face.

Neither the highway company Concer nor the Federal Highway Police said they’d received a report about the incident.
However, the authorities told local media that if the biker had been caught, he would have been penalised for riding without a helmet.
He could have been given seven points on his licence and had his right to ride suspended, in accordance with the Brazilian Traffic Code.
