A deer crashed through a large window before leaping into the public pool and interrupting a swimming lesson.
The frightened animal jumped into the water before swimming across to the other side and sliding along the wet floor.
The deer stopped a swimming lesson set to start at the leisure centre.
Francesco Siino was at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex in LaSalle, located southwest of Toronto, Canada, at the time.
He was accompanying his child at the centre’s swimming class.
Siino told local media: “We were in the changing rooms and a parent rushed in and said ‘You guys won’t believe this, there’s a deer in the swimming pool’.

“I thought there was no way.”
According to reports, the deer first crashed through a window near the centre’s hot tub and sent broken glass flying across the pool deck.
Around 30 people were in the pool area at the time.
Siino said: “Staff coaxed the deer into the main lobby and helped it find its way outside.”
Patti Funaro, director of culture and recreation in LaSalle, said: “I commend the staff on duty who responded immediately to ensure the safety of the patrons and the deer.”
Funaro added that the deer “may have cut itself”, but eventually left of its own accord.
The leisure centre temporarily closed the pool area and it reopened two days later on Tuesday (27 Feb). after “divers performed an extensive sweep”.
