Sunlight creeping through near a public fountain makes it look like it’s spewing lava.
The font depicts two female figures holding up a large tub behind their heads as they stand back to back.
Water thunders from a spout on the container’s rim as they tip the tub towards the ground.
As the low sun illuminates the square, the light falls perfectly onto the tall stream of liquid.
It looks like the two women are pouring fire at the fount in L’Aquila, east of Rome, Italy
The fountain was sculpted by Abruzzo native Nicola D’Antino in 1934.
