School workers found a raccoon trapped in a dumpster with its head poking out.
They had to use an angle grinder to cut away a section of the metal bin to release the animal.
Maintenance workers were stunned to spot the trapped raccoon when starting work for the day.

They took photos of the animal’s head poking out of an opening in the metal wheelie bin.
They then filled a plastic cup with water to offer the small mammal a drink as they formulated a rescue plan.
They realised they would have to cut through the metal as the raccoon’s head was stuck in the small gap, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The rescue took place at a school in Vidor City in Texas, US, last week (23 Jul).
A spokesperson for the Vidor Independent School District said, “With steady hands and big hearts, our crew sprang into action.

“Not only did they work carefully to free the furry stowaway, but they also made sure it had a drink of water as they planned its rescue.
“We’re proud of our team for handling the situation with compassion, patience and a whole lot of creativity.
“Just another day in the life of our behind-the-scenes heroes.”

They added: “Thank you to our incredible maintenance team for going above and beyond, not just for our buildings, but for all creatures great and small!”
