A police officer has been dubbed the ‘reptile wrangler’ after tackling both an alligator and a snake in one week.
Donald Aubrey started last week with an unusual call out – a huge python in a garden.
A video shows the officer using a shovel to help nudge the snake, while it writhes and wriggles away, before eventually picking it up with both hands.

The beast was able to be safely detained without harm and handed over to the Wildlife and Fisheries Department.
Just three days later (29 May), Officer Aubrey was called to assist in perhaps, an even more terrifying encounter – an alligator in a school.
The officer, who works for the Houma Police Department in Louisiana, US, got stuck in once again, reports What’s The Jam.
The footage, which has been viewed over one million times online, shows Officer Aubrey tackling the small gator, which found its way into Upper Little Caillou School.
He uses a stick to encourage its jaw to stay shut, before picking it up and clamping his hand over the jaw.

The alligator was later released safely back into the wild.
A spokesperson for the department said of the incidents, “No call for service is routine”, and commended him for his “bravery and dedication” to keeping the community safe.
