This is the hilarious moment police were given the runaround by an escaped PIG.
Footage shows two officers desperately trying to catch the runaway animal as it leads them on a chase beside a busy road.
The porker can be seen darting across a grassy verge as one cop races after it in the rain.

But despite the officer’s best efforts, the surprisingly speedy pig manages to keep ahead of its pursuer.
A second officer then joins the chase as the pair attempt to corner the animal, as reported by Whats The Jam.
Prince William County Police shared footage of the unusual pursuit on social media alongside the cheeky caption: “There’s a cop joke here, right?”
Officers had reportedly been alerted to a pig and a dog roaming loose around Dale City, Virginia, since Monday (21 Sep).
The following afternoon, police managed to track down the pig near Trident Lane and Dale Boulevard.
The video shows officers chasing it through a rain-soaked roadside median before finally bringing the pursuit to an end.
Police confirmed the animal was safely secured following its brief spell on the run.
The force’s tongue-in-cheek footage prompted a string of jokes from amused social media users.
One user joked: “Dispatch, suspect Chris P. Bacon running on hooves, engaging foot pursuit, over.”
Another person said: “How many pigs does it take to catch a pig?”
Vicki joked: “Cue the Bennie Hill music.”
Another person added: “Run piggies run!”
Ronald joked: “Talk about some friendly fire going on here.”
But the unusual tale had a sad ending for the pig’s companion.
Police later confirmed the dog, which had also been reported roaming loose, was struck and killed by a vehicle at a separate location.
It remains unclear where the two animals escaped from or who owns them.
