A dog lover who spent £12,000 on a lifelike border collie costume has revealed that his “human zoo” may have to cancel future events after “no bookings”.

Known only as Toco, he’s made quite a name for himself with the bizarre act.

On his YouTube, where he boasts over 73,000 followers, he shares a typical day-in-the-life – from being taken out on walks to doing tricks for treats.

His latest venture – a human zoo where people can also live out their fantasy as a dog – was initially a hit.

The TokoTokoZoo, as it’s been called, had been taking bookings for months in advance due to its popularity.

Now, though, it seems the novelty has worn off, reports What’s The Jam.

In a series of posts, he alerts fans that the zoo will be shut in June, so for those interested to make a booking in April or May.

However, he then reveals that 4 May is still an open book – and if no reservations come through soon, he’ll have to cancel the event.

Toco adds: “If you are having trouble, please make the reservation!”

Another post says: “Our opening day is Sunday, 4 May, but if we do not receive any reservations by Saturday, 19 April, we will close the store.

As of 12 April, there are still spaces left to fill within the coming weeks, too.

The zoo offers people the chance to dress up as an Alaskan Malamute, costing roughly £256 to spend 180 minutes as the pooch.

Located in Tokyo, Japan, only cash is accepted; though it’s hoped other payment options will be available in the future – along with other animal costumes.
