The lorry overturned on the side of the PR-281 state highway in Realeza, south west of Sao Paulo, Brazil, after the driver lost control.

The lorry’s rear doors were closed when the driver accompanied the police to the station to file a report.
As a recovery vehicle was being dispatched to the scene, the State Highway Police were informed of the looting.

The State Highway Police say five tonnes of the 25 tonnes of meat on board the lorry were taken.
They said in a statement: “The cargo is in the custody of the company, with an escort.
“And the team from the State Highway Police is at the scene providing support for the transfer of the cargo and the recovery of the lorry.”
