A legendary Ferrari Formula 1 car driven by two of the sport’s biggest names is set to sell for millions at auction.
The 1978 Ferrari 312 T3 is expected to fetch €4.5-€5.5million (£3.8m-£4.7m) when it goes under the hammer in Monaco next month.
The historic car was raced by 12-time Grand Prix winner Carlos Reutemann during the 1978 Formula 1 season.

It was later driven by Ferrari icon Gilles Villeneuve at the 1979 Argentine Grand Prix.
The vehicle is one of just five T3 models built by Ferrari to compete in the 1978 world championship.
Chassis 036 made its debut at the Swedish Grand Prix in June 1978, where Reutemann finished 10th after briefly running as high as third.

It went on to compete in multiple races that season, including the French Grand Prix, where Reutemann smashed the lap record despite finishing 18th.
At the Austrian Grand Prix, the car was disqualified after receiving an illegal push start following a spin in wet conditions.

Its best result came at the Dutch Grand Prix, where it crossed the line in seventh place.
The car later returned to action in 1979, when Villeneuve drove it in Argentina before it was retired from competition.

The Ferrari 312T series is regarded as one of the most successful designs in Formula 1 history.

Across its various evolutions, the model secured 27 Grand Prix victories and multiple world titles between 1975 and 1980.
Designed by renowned engineer Mauro Forghieri, the car features a 3.0-litre flat-12 engine and distinctive transverse gearbox layout aimed at improving weight distribution.
The model heading to auction has been certified by Ferrari Classiche and comes with its official “Red Book”, confirming its authenticity.
It is presented in race number “12” livery, as used by Villeneuve, and is being sold with spare tyres, jacks and original accessories.
Collectors say cars from Ferrari’s golden era of Formula 1 remain among the most sought-after in motorsport history.
