Humans have been left terrified after a robot was filmed wielding a sword – with impressive expertise.
Robotera’s humanoid robot L7 showcased a mind-blowing sword dance to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
A clip of its unnerving feat racked up a whopping 256,000 views, as reported by What’s The Jam.

Chinese company Robotera, which collaborated with Tsinghua University to build the L7, used a combination of titanium and carbon fibre.
The robot features 55 independently moving joints to help emulate the movements of a human.
A spokesperson for Robotera said: “Celebrate the Lunar New Year with ROBOTERA’s humanoid robot L7 performing a spectacular sword dance.
“Tradition meets technology in this festive martial arts performance, welcoming the Year of the Horse.”
Although the video was designed to showcase the android’s impressive motor skills, the 5ft 6in, 65kg bot actually terrified viewers worried about the future of automation.

One person said: “So we’re just teaching the Terminators sword fighting too? Cool. Nothing terrifying about that.”
Another person added: “I’m in danger.”
And a third person joked: “Nice knowing you, humanity.”

A fourth viewer: “We’re definitely going to have robot soldiers and police in the future.”
Another person added: “Human end is near.”
A sixth person warned: “Mark my words, at some point we will regret this.”
The viral dance was posted on 11 February.
