A firefighter-in-training left his girlfriend speechless when he turned a daring abseil exercise into a surprise marriage proposal in front of dozens of colleagues and loved ones.
Jayson Ralph popped the question during FDNY Family Day on Randall’s Island in New York, leaving his partner Dasia Moore completely speechless.
Images show Ralph abseiling down a building in full firefighting gear while Moore watched from a ledge, believing she was simply witnessing part of the day’s demonstrations.

But after reaching the ground, the firefighter dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him in front of family, friends and fellow recruits.
Moore said yes.
The heartwarming moment unfolded during the annual FDNY event on Saturday, where trainee firefighters showcase the skills they have learned ahead of graduating from the academy, as reported by Whats The Jam.
Sharing the images online, the FDNY wrote: “All-hands were clearly operating to help ask the question.

Family Day features a series of demonstrations including mock rescues, rope drills and firehose exercises.
The surprise proposal quickly won over social media users after images of the moment were shared online.
