An electric car has been caught on CCTV moving without a driver, climbing a bridge and colliding with another vehicle after allegedly setting off by itself.
The Tata Tiago EV was being cleaned outside its owner’s office when it suddenly began moving on Friday (16 October).
Owner Saurabh Rathore claimed his nephew was cleaning the car with two others when it lurched forwards, throwing his nephew off balance.

The vehicle then reportedly drove up a steep bridge, breaking through its boundary wall before becoming stuck in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, India.
After around 20 to 25 minutes, the car came back down the bridge and collided with another vehicle belonging to the family.
The car’s front headlight and driver’s-side door were reportedly damaged in the ordeal.
Rathore said he was inside his office when the incident happened and claimed the key was not in the vehicle.
He also insisted the handbrake had been engaged, as reported by What’s The Jam.
He told local media: “I bought the Tata Tiago EV four months ago, and it has run around 4,500km (2,796 miles).
“The handbrake was engaged when the incident happened. The car travelled around 16m (17 yards) during the episode.”
He said he contacted Tata Motors after the incident and was told the vehicle had been switched on.
Rathore also claimed a company representative subsequently called him and asked him not to pursue the matter further.
He said he suspected a technical fault and was considering taking legal action.
The exact cause of the car’s sudden movement has not been established.
Mainpuri police said the relevant team had been directed to investigate and take necessary action.
Rathore’s nephew was reportedly injured when he fell as the car began moving, although no serious injuries were reported.
