If you’re worried about the state of the world, Amazon has your back with a series of Black Friday deals on “nuclear fallout food” – and one doomsday prepper has revealed what you need to stock up on.

Rowan MacKenzie is well-known for her expert advice in preparing for any disasters.

The 40-year-old, from the US, began stocking up her cupboards 13 years ago and has spent over $350,000 (USD) (£277,000) on her supplies, as well as a basement bunker.

Now, she’s praising Amazon for their Black Friday deals – but says there are certain items which are vital to stock up on.

And it’s important to act now before it’s too late.

“It’s amazing that those specific items are being made affordable,” the real estate investor and homemaker told What’s The Jam.

“I love the prep meals on Amazon, but I do think it’s a lot more financially smart to make your own.

“But as far as the other supplies, I absolutely recommend buying them – anything you have on hand is something you don’t have to frantically look for when the time comes.

“I would focus more on medical supplies, food, and weapons above all.

“And the less you have to carry, the better, as you’ll need some extra room.

“Jump on the deals now, because it’s not often those specific items go on sale.”

The items on offer range from high-energy food ration bars to freeze-dried apple chips.

Now those looking to spend their hard-earned cash on preparing for a disaster can also take part in the popular discount date, which is more commonly used to buy bargain Christmas presents.

Soup fans can get 200 portions of leek and potato soup mix for £20.71 (equating to around 10p a portion) instead of £24.42.

Or you can get two days’ worth of freeze-dried breakfast, lunch, and dinner for one person for £42.63 instead of £51.89, which works out at around £3.50 a meal.

While this is not exactly the cheapest food in the world, it has a 30-year shelf life, so it’s arguably a bargain if you’d like to guarantee yourself a portion of beef stroganoff in 2054.

However, food is not the only thing included in Amazon’s Black Friday deals for preppers.

You can get 16 percent off a wind-up solar-powered radio, which now costs £15.17 instead of £17.99.

Emergency thermal ponchos are also on offer for £14.21 for four instead of £25.

A nuclear radiation detector is also on offer, setting shoppers back £79.20 instead of the usual £99.

While it’s expected some people may snap up these bargains and flog them on for a higher price down the line, the prepper doesn’t believe there’s a need to worry when it comes to these supplies.

She added: “I haven’t seen any of this happening ever.

“It’s usually preppers who buy those types of things.

“And our community helps one another be successful, so we don’t typically price gouge.”
