The American crocodile (Crocodylus acutus) left the estuary at Playa Blanca in the resort city of Zihuatanejo, about 145 miles up the coast from Acapulco in Mexico, and entered the complex grounds.
Stunned locals reported the sighting to the local authorities.
Civil Protection agents arrived on the scene to capture the dangerous intruder.
They fished the croc out of the plush infinity pool before releasing it in its natural habitat.
Meanwhile, a family of three was attacked by a crocodile in the sea in the nearby resort of Playa Linda on 16 April.

The croc, which measured over 8 feet in length, was caught and returned to the estuary.
Around 10 crocodiles have been sighted outside their natural habitat in the region in the last week.
