A company has launched a unique AI robot chef to help out in restaurants – and it can apparently make food, season and set temperatures all by itself.

Created by BOTINKIT, the unique cook is also able to wash up and follow recipes, as well as “stir-fry, stew, boil, fry and [make] salad.”

Featuring a silver and grey design, the robot features a touch-screen where people can select a dish and how they’d like it prepared.

The digital kitchen solutions company operates in 19 countries, with Asia currently its biggest market.

But the business set up in Europe and the US earlier this year with big ambitions, as reported by Absolutely Business.

According to chief executive Chen Rui, the aim is not to replace existing human chefs altogether but to help cut operating costs.

“We take into account special dietary needs such as gluten-free, vegan, and low-sodium, ensuring that everyone can enjoy high quality and delicious meals.”

Rui told South Morning China Post: “In a decade, we believe the restaurant industry will shift towards digital kitchens where robots and intelligent systems play a leading role in operations, while humans will focus on recipe creation, and adding personal touches to the dishes at the final stage,”

BOTINKIT products can be purchased through enquiries on the company website.
