Ungrateful and skint Brits flogging unwanted Christmas gifts – including £800 iPhone – with one admitting they are selling to pay mortgage

A number of pricey presents including an iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods are for sale on Facebook Marketplace.

Also being sold at knockdown prices are a Playstation Portal, a designer Michael Kors handbag and a Call of Duty PS5 computer fame.

All five items are listed as ‘unwanted Christmas presents’.

It comes as the cost of living crisis is continuing to affect millions of Brits due to high interest rates.

One seller said they were flogging their gift to help pay the mortgage.

The items appear to be in brand-new condition.

They also come with their original boxes.

An iPhone 15 Pro Max has been listed for £800.

The smartphone comes sealed in it’s box.

The seller, from Wrexham, north Wales says it is an “unwanted Christmas gift.”

They can be bought in shops for £1,199.

One woman in Stroud, Gloucestershire is desperate to get rid of a Michael Kors handbag.

The leather accessory has the gold Michael Kors logo on the buckle.

There is MK branding across the flap.

She listed it for sale on Boxing Day for a staggering £180.

Michael Kors bags can cost between £175 and £1,330.

The seller said: “Brand new Micheal Kors bag.

”Unwanted Xmas gift and can’t return as not within the time scale for returns.

”Collection from Stroud.”

One seller, in Manchester listed a brand new Apple iWatch SE – Generation 2.

The box has not even been opened.

The man listed the watch on Christmas day for £170.

But they can be bought from the Apple Store from £219.

The seller wrote: “Unwanted Christmas gift.

”Unopened box.”

Another seller, in Irvine, Scotland listed a Playstation Portal for £150.

She has discounted the item after originally listing it for £170.

The controller has also been left in a sealed box.

The seller admits that she is flogging a Christmas present.

However, she also says it is to help her pay her mortgage.

She said: “Can negotiate on the price since it was an unwanted Christmas gift.

”Just need to get rid of it, struggling with mortgage payments.”

The item typically retails at £199.99.

A pair of Airpod Pros were put up for sale by a man in London on Christmas Eve.

The fancy earbuds typically retail for £229.

However, the man has put them up for sale for just £125.

He posted them on Boxing Day and described them as an “unwanted Christmas gift.”

A sealed copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare has been uploaded to the second-hand marketplace.

The seller, from Newbury, Berkshire has listed the PS5 game for £50.

They also posted it on Boxing Day and wrote: “Selling as an unwanted Christmas gift.

”Unopened and still sealed in plastic wrapping.”
