A controversial festive food item has once again hit the shelves.
Glenn Kennedy runs a supermarket group online where he shares the latest products and deals.
Earlier this week, he spotted that the ‘Pot Noel’ by Pot Noodle is back for Christmas and shared it with his 320,000 online members.
The limited-edition flavour has left shoppers divided, with some labelling it “awful” and “disgusting”, while others say it could be “worth a try”.
Captioning his post, Glenn, who lives in Llandudno, wrote: “Well that’s Christmas dinner sorted.”
“Gravy and Stuffing pot noodles, what’s everyone’s thoughts?”
The 100g pot is labelled as £1.35 at Tesco or 90p for Clubcard holders.
The Pot Noel aims to replicate the taste of gravy and stuffing and was first released in October 2022.
The item still causes a stir amongst supermarket shoppers, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Andy wrote: “That’s me sorted for Christmas Day, with my fingerless gloves on, sat round the candle to keep warm.”
Sarah commented: “If I could get away with it I most definitely would serve this up and save me at least 400 quid, why not.”
“Noodles with gravy! I don’t think so,” added Janice.
Jason said: “Doesn’t sound nice.”
Wendy penned: “I loved these.”
“No thanks. I prefer the real thing,” wrote Suzanne.
“Awful,” said Simon.
Sammy added: “It’s disgusting.”
The Pot Noel is also for sale on eBay, but for quite a bit more cash, compared to Tesco.
A seller is flogging the product for £7.94 in total – £5 for the pot and £2.94 to have it delivered.
According to the site, 19 eBay users have viewed the item in the past 24 hours.
One person is even interested in purchasing it.
