The iconic bottomless Santa costume Jim Carrey wore in the hit festive flick is up for grabs.
The Grinch might have attempted to steal Christmas; but fear not, as you won’t have to dabble in any of his naughty acts.
You can get your hands on the one-of-a-kind suit…for a starting price of $55,000 (USD) (£43,095), as reported by What’s the Jam.
The incredible piece of 00s movie history was built to fit none other than Mr Carrey himself and comes complete with tags naming its designer, John David Ridge, as well as the actor himself.
Also included is the distinctive green haired leggings and chunky black waist belt.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the outfit does come with the disclaimer that it might have some studio wear and tear after it was used in hilarious scenes such as the Grinch getting stuck in a chimney.
The costume is said to be the only one belonging to Carrey that has ever been available for public auction.
The description explains: “The leggings are hand-knotted onto Lycra material, with the hair made from olive-dyed yak hair, adding to the authentic, textured look.
“Designer John David Ridge meticulously created the jacket and belt, each proudly labelled with a ‘John David Ridge’ tag and ‘Jim Carrey’ typed on it.
“Renowned special effects artist Rick Baker and his team crafted the hair suit legs for Carrey’s use, further enhancing the realism and originality of this iconic costume.
“The coat is made from luxurious terry cloth, while the belt is constructed from genuine leather, further elevating its craftsmanship.”
So if you’re a huge fan of the classic Christmas flick, this is one piece of movie history, which is set to be auctioned on 14 December by iCollectables, might be worth the investment.
After all, what’s the festive season without the Grinch stopping by to pay a visit?
