It is going under the hammer next Friday (Aug 9).
Ewbank’s, in Woking, Surrey, is holding the auction, as reported by What’s The Jam.
A Pokémon Fossil first-edition sealed booster box is another stand-out lot at up to £10,000.
It’s the third main expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game and it’s based on Pokémon Red and Blue, featuring Generation I Pokémon and Fossil Pokémon.
The English expansion was released on October 10, 1999, and includes popular Pokémon such as Dragonite, Gengar and the Legendary Birds.
This lot comes from the collection of the former Managing Director of Wizards of the Coast in the UK, Stephen Wilks.
A complete Pokémon Fossil third print set, also known as the Australian print, has a copyright date of 1999-2000, unlike the standard print fossil cards.
The only holographic card included in the set is the Zapdos as no other holos were printed with the 1999-2000 copyright date.
All rare cards in the set are PSA graded from PSA 8 to PSA 10, while uncommon and commons are ungraded in a black binder in near-mint condition. The guide is £5,000-8,000.
