Both of the iconic tracks feature on the beloved LP ‘A Kind of Magic’, with both songs being released in 1986.

The songs achieved worldwide success and are now held in the highest regard by Queen fans across the globe.

The handwritten lyrics were constructed by Freddie Mercury in late 1985 and January 1986, five years before his sad death.

The Queen singer, who wrote the lyrics in Mountain Studios, Switzerland, died in 1991 after losing his battle with aids.

The page is now set to fetch a whopping £150,000 at auction, as reported by What’s The Jam.

Omega Auctions, who are hosting the sale, stated: “The set of lyrics have been on display in Queen Studio Experience museum since it opened in 2013.

“Incredibly, nobody has ever seen the lyrics for ‘A Kind of Magic’ on the reverse side of ‘Who Wants To Live Forever’. This is the first time they are on public display.

The side with ‘A Kind of Magic’ features both Freddie and Roger Taylor’s handwriting which is quite exceptional. 2 lines read “This Man Had a Goal, His Pain Was One Soul” which appears to be an early incarnation of “One Vision”.

“The lyrics for ‘Who Wants to Live Forever’ are all in Freddie’s handwriting.

“‘Who Wants to Live Forever’ was written by Brian May and both Brian and Freddie sing parts on the various releases.

“Freddie sang the entire version that featured in ‘Highlander’, and his vocals on this track are considered some of the best he ever recorded.”
