But the £12,000, 15-plate hatchback was front-wheel drive.
The hapless motorist’s efforts were therefore futile.
The two wheels off the ground were seen spinning around.
It happened outside Morrisons in Honeypot Lane, Queensbury, north London on Saturday (21 Sept) afternoon.
Locals were left baffled as to how it happened, as reported on What’s The Jam.
Lewis Hazell joked: “Can’t park there mate.”
Another said: “How in the frozen f*cking chicken nuggets…?”
Chandan added: “It’s the spinning tyres for me.”
Vik Singh added: “Bladdy stupid.”
Another added: “Is he getting ready to take off?”
Morrisons has been approached for comment.
