A dopey driver who forgot to put her handbrake on was left baffled after it disappeared into a ditch.
Layla Russel was driving to friend Lilly Tilyard’s house.
The pair, both 19, got out of the car without realising that Leyla had forgotten to put the brake on.

Student Lilly and bartender Layla were seen on CCTV disappearing into the house.
Seconds later, the white Fiat 500 slowly started rolling backwards, across a road and into a 6ft ditch.
The friends were left baffled when they went back outside and the car was missing.
They assumed it had been stolen and were about to call Lilly’s dad to check their CCTV when they spotted it laying horizontal in the ditch.
“We pulled up and obviously she didn’t put the handbrake on, Lilly, from Colchester, Essex, told What’s the Jam.
“Half an hour later, we went back outside.
“We thought someone had stolen the car.
“We were saying ‘what the hell?’ looking around because we hadn’t heard anything.
“I remembered the CCTV camera and I wanted to look and see who stole the car.
“As I turned, i saw it in the bushes. Half of it was in a lake.
“Layla was panicking because it’s her first car and she’s only had it for a year.”
Layla’s dad rushed over and towed the car out.
Miraculously, it hadn’t been damaged at all after the mishap last Wednesday (14 May).
Lilly said: “The only thing she had to pay for was a car clean because it was dirty.”
Lilly shared the video on TikTok where it has racked up more than 4m views.
Lilly added: “I never expected it to go so viral.
“People were being really sexist and saying women can’t drive.”
Samantha Halliday said: “Why whenever you leave your handbrake off does the car wait until you’ve walked away.
“Rude in my opinion, like tell me right away.”
Jo added: “You’re not a driver if you forget to put the handbrake on, it’s something that’s built into your memory.
“So just don’t bother anymore, give your license back.”
Simon Baldwin joked: “Perfect excuse to get a new car if you ask me.”
Liam McNaughton said: “You won’t be the first or last person to forget to put your handbrake on, believe me.”
Another added: “I was taught properly.
Always leave in gear just in case your handbrake fails.”
