Known only as Al, he is believed to be on a tour to improve his English.
His latest stop was at Bowmans Lane Restaurant, Kilrush, County Clare, Ireland, as reported by What’s The Jam.
A spokesperson said: “This afternoon we met Alan from France on his unique handmade tall bike.
“Built from recycled parts, he is on a mission to improve his English, explore the country and savour our delicious food.
“Best of luck, Alan, on your onward journey.”
In November, he left an impression on staff at Sexton’s Caravan and Camping, West Cork.
A spokesperson there said, “We have learned a little more about our fascinating French guest.
“His amazing bike, which we now know is correctly called a tall bike, was designed and built by Alan himself a few months ago from recycled parts.
“He’s a lovely young guy and just took off on an adventure to see Ireland and improve his English.”
