A mischievous dog has landed firmly on the naughty list after trying to expose Father Christmas by pulling off his beard.
Robyn Ellis, who runs Puppy Dog Palace, was hosting a Santa’s grotto event for her furry customers when five-month-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Nova got up to mischief.
The pup was visiting on Wednesday (17 December) when she latched onto Santa’s fake beard with her teeth.

The man dressed as Father Christmas tried to hold on while Robyn, 31, attempted to convince Nova to let go.
In a hilarious video that has racked up more than 334,000 views online, Santa can be heard pleading: “Get off my beard.”
“Nova was having a photo with Santa when she realised he had a nice, long beard and tried to play a game of tug of war with it,” Robyn, from Sunderland, told What’s The Jam.
“She’ll be straight on the naughty list.
“People have been comparing it to the ‘you’re not Santa’ scene from Elf.
“Santa found it hilarious and said it was the first time it had happened.
“Nova is always up to mischief.
“If she isn’t pulling off his beard, she’s pinching stocking treats and toys from our sweet cart.
“She’s so funny and keeps me and the other staff on our toes.
“We love her; she always makes us laugh.”
As well as meeting Father Christmas, Nova enjoyed a Christmas dinner, a pupachino, and left with her very own goodie bag.
