A Creme Egg super fan has enjoyed 100 so far this year and admits that “no amount is enough.”
Zara Winstanley believes her extreme love of the Cadbury treat was sparked by a two-year absence when she was working in Australia.
While there from 2019 to 2021, she went without one and believes it’s “only enhanced” her love of them.
“I’ve been in love with creme eggs for as long as I have memory,” Zara, a social media and digital PR executive, told What’s The Jam.

“I used to work at McDonald’s in my youth college days and I’d sneak eat some of the fondant sauce that would go into the McFlurrys.
“I’d say this year I have easily eaten one every day and often I have eaten multiple.
“I have also eaten the Domino’s creme egg cookies and the creme egg chocolate bars and the creme egg mini balls.”
The 28-year-old, of Manchester, added: “I’ve also bought a fair few Creme Egg Easter eggs that have two eggs in at a time.

“I’d say I’ve eaten anywhere between 90 to 100 eggs so far this year.”
Zara loves the popular chocolate so much that she actually made a beeline to her local Co-Op to get her hands on some when they hit the shelves again on January 1.
She said: “Since the clock struck midnight on December 31 and the supermarkets stocked the Creme Egg I have essentially made a beeline to my local Co-Op every lunchtime and indulged in at least one.

“It is now a running joke in the office on how many I have eaten.
“I have now even been stocking up on the multipacks as a money-saving initiative.”
While Zara does wish that Creme Eggs were available all year, she stocks up for when they aren’t available.
Zara eats so many that she “couldn’t hazard a guess” about her annual consumption but estimates that it’s “well into the hundreds”.
Sadly, Creme Eggs are only available from January 1 until Easter Sunday (March 31).
She said: “I’ve even ordered some online in the past to beat my cravings – I’d say over the easter period or the beginning of the year I’m eating multiple a day to get over the winter blues.”
“I also love the Creme Egg Halloween versions that come out – my birthday is Halloween so these feel made for me.
“But I’d say [I eat] well into the hundreds.
“I do [stock up]; I have been buying multiple packs, however, I keep eating them and having to buy more.
“It’s devastating they’re not there all year round. They need to make a summer version!”
