But after a pal Sarah Miller launched a social media campaign he managed to get it back for his graduation last Thursday (20 Nov).
She spent more than nine hours sending emails and messages and making phone calls until she was able to track it down.

He studied business analysis at the University of Kent, Canterbury.
The ceremony took place at Canterbury Cathedral.

The 23-year-old came to the UK from Delhi, India and is staying with a family in Birchington and works in a local supermarket.
Hritesh was devastated and thought he wouldn’t be able to attend the proudest moment of his life.
“I had lost faith and decided I wasn’t going to go to my graduation,” he told What’s The Jam.

“But I couldn’t believe what Sarah did and I’m just so grateful.
“This meant so much to me as my mother had died in 2016 and life had been tough.

“I can’t express my appreciation enough for what Sarah and everyone has done.
“I have the chance to prove myself, get a job and settle here in the UK.”
Sarah said: ”He’s such a lovely guy who has had a really tough time.
“When I heard I just had to do something to help him and thank goodness it all worked out.”
She added:”He’s really popular at work and we all wish him all the best for the future.”
A made to measure suit was tailored for him in India especially for the ceremony.
His suitcase was lost on the train to Birchington.
