A pair of brides were given a lift by police – after their wedding coach broke down.
The couple were worried they’d miss their big day after their transport let them down en route to the venue.
But moments after disaster struck the neighbourhood police team came to the rescue.
The on-duty officers popped the pair in the back of the police car – arriving at the venue in Hedge End, near Southampton with just “minutes to spare.”
The pair posed for snaps with the officers before walking down the aisle on Saturday (10 Jun).
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: “We were in the right place at the right time as a coach carrying a wedding party had broken down on St John’s Road in Hedge End.
“The brides were understandably very worried that they were going to miss their wedding.
“We told them to hop into the police car and we gave them a lift in style to their wedding venue, arriving with minutes to spare.
“We wish them all the best for a very happy future together and are very happy that we could be there to help.”
Locals also praised the cops.
Lisa Erica said: “Brilliant. The brides look stunning and I’m sure this is something they will share forever.”
Jim Kneller said: “Hope you put ribbons on the car. Great job.”
Anna-Louise Shearsmith joked: “Is this a service that you’ll offer in future?
“I’m in. Great work.”
Clare Taylor said: “Wow. What a great example of community policing at it’s best.
“Well done.”
Trudie Bellamy added: “Oh this is so lovely and a fab story for the brides to tell in years to come.
“Happy wedding day.”
