Bearded men are set to battle it out in an annual facial hair competition.

The Beard and Moustache International Championship has been running for the last five years.

Furry-faced contestants can enter one of 14 categories in the event.

These include the best moustache round.

No beards are allowed to enter this part and all hair growing from more than 1.5 cm past the corner of the mouth must be shaved.

Another category set to take place is the ‘Best Partial Beard.’

A fan favourite is the ‘Best Freestyle beard.’

Here, bearded blokes can get creative with waxes and hairspray to make a unique style.

There is even an option for gingers to take part in the ‘best ginger beard’ category.

Other categories refer to the length of the beard – from the best under 4″ natural beards to over 12” natural beards.

The contest is taking place on 17 February 2024.
