Artwork emblazoned with ‘Middle Class Woman of a Certain Age’ is being sold for a domestic violence charity amid the Gregg Wallace storm.

Megan Fatharly handcrafted the 10cm x 8cm tin art with the presenter’s controversial quote carved into it.

The piece sold out when she started flogging them, but she has now made more.

Ex-MasterChef star, Wallace, stepped down from hosting the show last month following allegations of misconduct.

In a video addressing the claims, Wallace said that they were being made by a “handful of middle-class women of a certain age.”

His remark was met with fury, and he later apologised.

Megan, 29, is selling the ornament for £22.50 and 50% of the proceeds will be donated to Refuge.

“The design was inspired by Gregg Wallace’s controversial comment,” Megan, told What’s the Jam.

“Where he referred to his accusers as middle-class women of a certain age.”

“I’m using this artwork to reflect on and provoke conversations about societal and cultural dynamics.

“I have signed each piece as “1/many”, a thoughtful gesture that represents universal individualism.

“Acknowledging the uniqueness of each individual while emphasising the collective experience we share.”

Megan has been running her art business since 2018.

She says that the print would be the perfect Secret Santa gift and its compact size makes it ideal for display in spaces such as living rooms, galleries or personal art collections.

Megan added: “This piece blends creativity with social impact as there are societal implications of the quote.

“But I also want to use my platform to raise awareness and funds for Refuge.”
