Aldi and Lidl’s rivalry has hit another level.
The budget supermarkets are known to have cheeky social media rows.
But Aldi cheekily likened the Romanian gymnast Olympics costume to the red, yellow and blue store colours of Lidl.

The store commented on a picture of one of the gymnasts where a social media user had likened the gymnast’s leotard to a Lidl uniform and said: “You look great tonight babe Lidl GB.”
And customers couldn’t help but agree with the playful statement.
“Is it currently available in the middle aisle?,” asked Kevin.
“Strong Lidl vibes,” commented another amused shopper.
Jill quipped: “With the Euros over they clearly needed another sport to sponsor.”

One other customer took a swipe and said: “Still under-filling your wine bottles though.”
And Lidl, playfully responded to Aldi’s tweet saying: “When your ex is in your DMs replying to your Stories at 2am.”
