A 100-year-old drum found in a skip is set to sell for £4,000 at auction.
The large instrument was thrown out during a house clearance.
It was spotted as it was destined for the dump.
The old drum had spent the last few years collecting dust in a cupboard in a farmhouse.

It has also been used by musicians and as a prop in pubs.
The instrument was identified as The size No. 5 Dance Model ‘delux’.
The Ludwig, all-metal, separate tension drum has been described as a rare survivor by Hansons’ music consultant Claire Howell.
They believe it dates back to 1923.
The drum also has engraving round the body with copper tones in keeping with the period.

It is expected to fetch £4,000 when it heads to auction next Wednesday (13 Dec).
A Hansons’ spokesperson said: “The drum was popped into a cupboard and, over time, moved from pillar to post.
“It was used as décor in pubs, offered to various people, including musicians and, occasionally, got lost.

“But it kept rolling back to our client who found it during the clearance of her late aunty and uncle’s farmhouse.
“She calls it the lucky drum because it escaped that skip.
“She hopes it will be purchased by a sympathetic, generous drummer who will ensure it makes music again.”
