A woman has dressed up as the beloved pygmy hippo Moo Deng for Halloween.
Kirbie Johnson has been obsessed with the holiday for as long as she can remember.
Every October, she tries to come up with a different legendary outfit.

And this year she has knocked it out of the park.
Moo Deng, which translates to Bouncy Pig, found fame after footage posted by a zoo in Thailand went viral.
“Moo Deng has stolen so many people’s hearts,” Kirbie, a producer and TV host from Los Angeles, told What’s The Jam.
“I always choose to do something transformative versus ‘sexy’ for Halloween, and I always keep it topical.
“I knew this year I had to be Moo Deng as I was hosting my annual Halloween party.”
Kirbie enlisted the help of film and television makeup artist, Ally McGillicuddy, to help her create the look.
She said: “I ordered a prosthetic snout, which was two pieces: one for my chin, the other for my nose/cheek area.
“Ally applied the prosthetic after applying a bald cap and glueing my eyebrows down, then airbrushed my face and body.
“We added a product that gives a wet, shiny effect to make me look as moist as possible.
“My ears were cut off of a hippo mask and applied to the bald cap.”
The transformation took four hours from start to finish.
She said: “I think the hardest part was applying the body makeup as we had to make sure it wouldn’t rub off.
“None of the Halloween costume stores has a Moo Deng costume which seems crazy.
“And we also couldn’t find a baby hippo prosthetic, so we did the best we could with what we had available to us.”
Kirbie shared a clip of her outfit in a post to Instagram, where the video has gathered over 8.3 million views.
In the video, Kirbie can be seen looking into the camera and posing as she shows off her enormous trout and hippo-like gnashers.
There is a clip of her attempting to drink a cocktail with a straw.
Finally, she shows the make-up process, from attaching the prosthetics to painting her body.
The post was captioned: “The application process: BECOMING MOO DENG.”
It has gathered over 496,000 likes, as well as 3,400 comments from fans.
Cassidy said: “This is the most iconic thing I’ve ever seen. I am in awe.”
Sacha added: “This is hot! And the meme should be your new tinder profile pic. I’d swipe right!”
Cogey wrote: “You are literally so amazing omfg.”
Susan commented: “That is the absolute best freaking costume I’ve ever seen. I would definitely do that single or not. Bravo.”
Bryon said: “ATE THAT UUUUUP.”
Kirbie claims everyone at her Halloween party loved it.
She said: “They were perplexed by the snout.
“Online, people either enjoy the hilariousness of it and appreciate the time it took or they hate it.
“I’ve had women reach out and say they told their nurses during their labour about my costume.
“Pediatric nurse practitioners tell me my costumes throughout the years help distract their patients and allow them to smile and laugh.
“It may seem like a silly costume but I’m glad it can bring a little levity to people’s lives.
“It’s Halloween, have fun with it.”
