A mum-to-be found out the gender of her baby on a Ring doorbell after a hilarious gaffe scuppered the big reveal.
Bronagh Laverty was watching her husband carefully carry a balloon – full of blue or pink confetti – to their car when it suddenly popped on camera.
The footage, captured on a video doorbell, shows tiny pieces of blue paper bursting over the porch, while dad Simon yells “oh f***”.

Having witnessed the accident in real time, Bronagh called him immediately, saying: “What just happened? Have we literally just found out what we’re having?”
The couple, from Craigavon, Northern Ireland, were on their way to reveal their baby’s gender to family and friends, reports What’s The Jam.
But with the cat out of the bag, they had to fake their surprise.
“To be honest, we had to play along with the whole thing,” Simon said.
“We had to make sure no one else knew that we’d already found out as we didn’t want to ruin the surprise for everyone else.”

The pair, whose son Theo will be three in November, said they treasure the footage now.
Simon added: “We look back at the video all the time.
“It gives us a laugh about what happened and how we found out.

“Catching it on camera was even more special than doing it in front of friends and family as we can keep and cherish it.
“It will be good for the wee man when he’s older to show him and say ‘this is how we found out what you were going to be!’”
The couple were inspired to share their footage after seeing funny Ring doorbell moments on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
