“So the information was this was a wedding in York,” Lisa, from Torbay, told What’s The Jam.
“The friend apparently was told that the canapés would be more than they were and was led to believe this would be more like a lunch.
“But obviously that wasn’t the case and all the guests were complaining about the lack of food.
“The pizza was eaten outside which should have been out of sight of the bride and groom but other guests saw and some approached to have some.
“The bride was informed by another guest and wasn’t happy but probably more embarrassed than anything.”
The wedding kicked off at 12pm – but by 8pm guests still hadn’t seen a single plate of food.
With no catering on-site, one desperate guest caved and ordered a takeaway pizza, which was then shared around the table.
But when the bride found out, she was livid – branding it “embarrassing” and “tacky”.
She insisted if people had waited just half an hour more, food would have finally been served.
Lisa’s clip has since sparked thousands of comments, with viewers split over who was in the wrong.
Sarah fumed: “Who doesn’t feed their guests for 8 hours?!!!! That’s shocking.”
Sara argued: “You shouldn’t have eaten it in there. U and your friend should’ve gone outside and eaten it.”
Audz said: “Sharing the pizza with others at the table is the problem, that is disrespectful. Eating the pizza secretly is no issue at all.”
Kelly-anne shot back: “What was tacky was not feeding their guests for 8 hours. She’s lucky half of them didn’t leave.”
Jade agreed: “8 hour wait? Definitely not wrong.”
One viewer joked: “Honestly I’d have gone home and stopped at the chippy on the way.”
Another added: “Can’t believe they waited 8 hours to order the pizza.”
And Nez revealed: “I can’t say, I buggered off to a pub for a carvery when there was no food at a wedding.”
