A shocked gran cracked open a huge egg to reveal another intact one inside.
Sara López filmed her grandmother picking up an egg the size of a clenched fist from the table.
She cracks it on the edge of a bowl, opens it up, and tips the contents into the crockery.
Sara and her nan are stunned as two eggs – one still enclosed in its shell and the other not – spill into the bowl.

The egg in its shell appears to be the size of a typical egg you’d buy from a supermarket.
One of the shocked women says: “Oh.
“This is really bizarre, what a strange thing! Inside the egg, another egg.”
Sara’s gran goes on to crack the second egg into the bowl and its contents look as they should.
The clip had racked up a whopping 2.3m views at the time of writing, as reported on What’s The Jam.
Santi wrote in the comments: “The hen must have had a rough time.”
Asmr asked: “Is it an egg or a matryoshka?”
Paloma said: “Did anyone else think it was a potato?”
Mansilla joked: “So we can say the egg came first.”
And a second Paloma quipped: “It’s clearly a Kinder egg.”
When a hen lays an egg inside another egg, the process is known as counter-peristalsis contraction.
It happens when a fully formed egg moves backwards in a hen’s oviduct and gets trapped inside a second egg during its development.
The second egg forms around the first one, resulting in its unusually large size.
The phenomenon is rare.
Replying to a netizen who thought the eggs looked “awful”, Sara revealed: “It was delicious.”
