A Scottish chip shop has gone viral after releasing a pizza that “needs to be on every chippy menu”.
The creation, which has racked up 1.2 million views on TikTok, features three classic ingredients for a greasy meal: cheese, chips and curry sauce.
The unusual pizza combo was dreamed up by siblings Saphira, 27, and Ahmed Hashim, 25, at L’arco in Glasgow.

The TikTok shows a staff member using curry sauce as the base before placing chips, cheese and more sauce on top before baking the dish.
The cooked pizza is then revealed being taken out of the oven.
“We saw a lot of pizzas that went viral online cheese and beans, mac and cheese, so we thought let’s do something more chippy related – chips cheese and curry sauce,” Saphira told What’s The Jam.
“It produced some absolutely polarising comments.
“We actually had so many requests [for it], we couldn’t believe it.
“We are a family-run chippy and we started making TikToks for fun but my mum and dad couldn’t believe it [when the video went viral].
“They were texting me every two minutes about how the views were going up.
“The whole family and all the staff were so excited when the video went viral.
“The funniest part is that we weren’t even going to post the video because we didn’t 100% like the way it turned out, but that was the one that ended up going viral.”
Hundreds of viewers have taken to the comment section, with many saying they want to try the pizza.
One person said: “Would deffo try that.”
Another viewer added: “Now that’s what I call a pizza.”
A third person added: “This NEEDS to be on every chippy menu.”
“Swap the curry for gravy,” suggested Emma.
“How does one obtain such delights,” asked Matty, to which someone from L’arco replied: “Say chips, cheese and curry in the mirror three times”.
“Sweet Jesus that looks amazing,” said someone else.
